| Several years ago I began selling most of my moose billets as not completely finished. They are roughed out but final sanding and head shaping was left to the customers preferences. This allows me to save the customer several dollars per billet in labor costs and costs for my sanding belts and bandsaw blades. In addition many experienced knappers like their own billet head angles, shapes etc.,. I realize some beginners may lack the knowledge or tools to efficiently accomplish this task. While it can be done with a rasp or file, power tools make the job much easier and quicker. I'm offering this service to those that desire it for a nominal charge.
